Find an ad that appears on your social media feed. How would you enhance or improve the campaign? Currently the ad that appears on my Facebook is Shopee. Shopee is an online shopping app. This ad for this online shopping app is literally everywhere. They even managed to get Cristiano Ronaldo to do an ad for Shopee. This shows that the company have good resources in their disposal. Shopee managed to make their ad annoying. They managed to make use mobile marketing and even social marketing. Ads appearing in Facebook page. In YouTube, the Shopee ads plays right before the actual video plays. Poster are placed in many places such as MRT stations and bus stops. I feel that they pretty much doing a good job in marketing their app. How I know? They promoted the 11.11 sale promotion by using these marketing methods. On the day itself, they managed to get many users to purchase many things in Shopee. Even I bought a couple of things. I feel that there is not much of improvements but ther...

Think about the last game you or a friend played. (This includes causal game on the mobile platform). What do you think were the resources required for its creation? What are the reasons for it appeal? I just recently played Call of Duty mobile as I type this blog. Call of Duty (COD) is the most popular and the biggest game franchise in the world. The developers have been building this game for many yeas now. It is a fast-paced first-person shooter game. COD developers have been only making these games for the PC and the home consoles only. Now with the rise of mobile gaming, COD has now come into everyone hands. The resources I believe required for its creation were the developers themselves. The main company Activision owns the right to this franchise has a lot of revenue from this Intellectual Property (IP). Money is not an issue, but they are making use of this opportunity to bring COD to mobile. Developers are the main resources because they must keep this game up to date. W...

Compare the various HTML authoring tools. Which do you think is the best to use? What are your reasons? I am bad in programming. There are so many languages such as HTML, CSS and PHP for just web designing. There are all pretty much the same thing but with different approach. Web authoring tools are used to create Web content. They are a wide range of software programs that be downloaded or access online. This software is design to either type codes or just add pictures or objects. I have only learnt and used the adobe Dreamweaver. Its is one of the most popular tools ever used. In my opinion Dreamweaver is good. I can’t really recommend any other tool because only a professional web designer knows which is comfortable to use. Example a professional photographer only uses one type camera that he is familiar with. Dreamweaver helps to type HTML codes and CSS styles. It will instantly preview on what you have done so far. It helps students to build their websites. These software is...

Describe the user interface of a website, app or game that you find exceptionally intuitive. What were the qualities that made it so? Nowadays User interface (UI) getting better and cooler. There are so may different designs out there. No matter what designs they make, in the end its always about being user friendly. Just look at UI of iPhone. If you have watched any of the Apple press conferences, Tim Cook the CEO of the Apple company or Steve Jobs, always emphasize that the devices will be user friendly. Users do not like or prefer complex UI like the Android Software. At the beginning stages of the software was terrible and ugly too. It was messy and all over the place. Now It has gotten much better through users’ feedback. Many companies are now developing a lot of applications. Apps have changed our way of life. Example last time we use to grab a taxi from the side of the road but now there is an app to book a cab. With all kinds of apps, the UI is very important. It must be...

Is Search Engine Optimization still an important part of online marketing today? How can this be exploited and abused? Search Engine Optimization (SEO) plays a big part in online marketing. SEO is more then a decade old. Unlike being in social media platforms where is constantly updated with new content 24/7 nonstop, it will result being search itself purposely. Search results works in a way that someone or even the targeted customer google it out to find more information or motivated to do something more. Many companies want to make sure that they are on the top of the results. Google have trending search results like a leader board. It will tell people what is the most search topic. SEO has some issues too.   While bigger companies benefit from being to the top search result, small and medium does not. These smaller companies are not market leaders or among the top 10 in their respective industry. Google is known to give the best results. So when a customer or any potenti...

What would be a cause which you feel most strongly about? How would you create awareness using only digital platforms? What would your intended results? One cause that I am strongly supportive is privacy. When I mean privacy, I am referring to our internet privacy. We have so many social media platforms in our palm of our hands. We always add out personal information like, date of birth, where do I work, where am I located now etc. Facebook has a feature where it shows you friends near you. This is kind of creepy if you think about. Google map has a purpose of tracking our movements and showing us directions. But platforms like Facebook, one day information can leak. Incident in the Cambridge breaching of data is first of many. It’s not guarantee that it will not happen again. Companies are hiring people to update their internet security. Yes, there is a cyber security job now. High in demand. People must be aware of this privacy issues that might be happening right now. You ...
